We started the new year by welcoming our three new members to Mushroom Producer Organisation Ltd, at our Grower Day.

MPO is passionate about the mushroom industry and we  strongly believe in its future growth potential. We operate in an attractive and dynamic industry. Our focus over the last year was to maintain the high quality of our products while increasing our price per KG in this challenging inflationary market. A key priority was to increase our members’ margins through innovative practices, and to grow and increase our market share with new members joining our (Producer Organisation) PO. We are therefore absolutely delighted to increase our number of growers from 6 members to 9 members on 1st January 2024.

To celebrate Bressingham Mushrooms Ltd, Flixton Mushrooms Ltd and Haylock Mushrooms Ltd joining MPO we held a Grower’s day on 23rd January. This event was kindly hosted at one of our member sites; Orchard Mushrooms Limited, by Eamon Murray. This was the first opportunity since the beginning of COVID for our members to take part in a Farm Visit, sharing industry knowledge and experiences.

At MPO we are always looking for ways to continue to invest and upgrade current infrastructure, whilst exploring innovations which are new to the market. With every investment decision, MPO are always seeking to improve our sustainability and reduce our overall carbon footprint per tonne of mushrooms produced.

With three new members joining MPO we have increased our economies of scale and continue to look for synergies and cost savings to benefit all of our members.
